About the URL Encoder

Encode text for safe use in URLs, decode percent-encoded links, and switch between component mode for query values and full-URI mode for complete links. The tool is handy when debugging redirects, copied tracking URLs, callback parameters, and API requests.

How the result is produced

The tool applies browser URL and component encoding rules to text, query values, or complete URI strings. Decode mode reverses percent escapes and can optionally interpret plus signs as spaces for form-style query strings.

Example: A search value such as `Asha & Ravi` becomes a safe query component with reserved characters percent-encoded.

Limitations and review notes

Encoding makes a string transport-safe; it does not validate destination trust, prevent open redirects, or make a URL safe to visit. Full URLs and individual query components require different encoding modes.

How to use it

  1. 1. Choose Encode or Decode depending on the text you are working with.
  2. 2. Pick Component for query parameter values or Full URI for complete links.
  3. 3. Enable + as space when decoding form-style query strings.
  4. 4. Copy the converted output from the result pane.

FAQ

Does URL encoding upload my links or query strings?

No. URL encoding and decoding run locally in your browser after the page loads.

Should I use Component or Full URI mode?

Use Component mode for query parameter values and path segments. Use Full URI mode when you want to preserve separators such as :, /, ?, &, and =.

Why is there a + as space option?

Some form-encoded query strings use + for spaces. Enable it while decoding those values to get readable text back.
